On Dentists

I brush my teeth too hard it would seem.

Which I suppose is an improvement on the vague aura of disapproval over dental neglect which the profession normally exudes.

Apparently this isn't uncommon. I bought one of those electric toothbrushes which supposedly tells you if you are brushing too hard.

Don't get me started on dentists. No sign of an NHS one in this area, so I've just moved practices. The bloke seems pleasant and he passed my test as to whether he would recommend unnecessary work. But blimey, the prices are double what they were in my previous (also private) practice.

Our dentist is a compromise. We have to pay but G gets to go NHS.

I was recommended an electric toothbrush, though not with any fancy "you are brushing too hard" warning lights. The dentist just said that people with electric toothbrushes had been shown to have fewer problems.
