I didn't mean it shouldn't, just countering "SF cliche" accusations which, admittedly haven't been made here. I think this definitely was something new in Dr Who terms and relatively unusual in TV SF terms.
It's often been commented how comparatively rarely Dr Who bases stories on "timey-wimey" stuff. In fact before the new series it was barely touched upon.
