Your parents' curtains/cushions are William Morris, I think, so that's pretty timeless really :-)

I think I got my first camera a bit later, maybe around 9, bought with the £5 prize money from an art competition (design a poster to "Keep Southampton Tidy"!) I was going to say it was only b&w though, then I realised of course that was the film, not the camera - and the reason we bought b&w was because Daddy could develop those himself (great memories of that) rather than having to pay the chemist :-)

I think it was probably my 7th birthday that my Nanna bought me my first 'proper' (i.e. full-length) party frock, which I loved, with a brown corduroy bodice and floral skirt and sleeves - looked *very* like the one in the bottom right of your photo:-) My favourite thing about it was the little orange velvet bow at the neckline - ah, the '70s :-)
