I think she liked it. I had a horrible moment halfway through construction when I thought "I've never seen Mum wear anything remotely like this" and was worried I was about to commit well-intended-yet-horrible-socks. I bought her a back up present of some CDs in case she hated it. But she's mentioned since on the phone how nice it is, and I don't think she'd have done that if she didn't actually like it.
